Commercial ice machine warranty

Updated 2026-10-21. Independent guide — not a dealer quote.

A cafe, bar, or small restaurant asking about a commercial ice machine warranty is usually asking who pays for a failed part, and for how long. Warranty is defect coverage on the terms of the statement that names that series. It is not a cleaning contract, not a service-life year, and not a promise that every head from that brand uses the same clock.

This page is an owner checklist from the manufacturer warranty pages and PDFs we opened on 2026-10-21. It is not legal advice, not a coverage opinion for a serial number, and not a claim. Terms change. Confirm the statement that matches the data plate with the manufacturer or the dealer before you rely on a year in this table.

Service life stays on how long a commercial ice machine lasts. Clean-and-sanitize intervals stay on how to clean a commercial ice machine. Cartridges stay on water filters and descalers. Clearance inches and ambient bands stay on installation requirements. A dead pump versus a pitted evaporator stays on repair vs replace. Ice shape and form factor stay on Hoshizaki vs Manitowoc vs Scotsman vs Ice-O-Matic. Who pays the technician after these clocks, and what a managed subscription includes instead, stays on lease vs buy. A remote line set that can drop compressor coverage stays on remote condenser vs self-contained.

Read the data plate, then the statement that names that series. A KM cuber is not an AM undercounter. A Manitowoc cube is not an RN nugget. A Scotsman C0330 is not a CU50. Where a live summary and a PDF disagree, both cells are printed. We did not average them.

What the current statements print

“Parts and labor on the machine” is the base clock. An evaporator or compressor line is extra coverage on that part. It does not extend the warranty on a pump, a board, or a bin door. Labor on the compressor often stops when the base labor stops, even when compressor parts run longer. Travel, mileage, and overtime are called out as excluded on the statements below. Straight time at the machine is the labor these PDFs describe.

Directory model Statement we opened Parts and labor on the machine Evaporator Compressor
KM-520MAJ, KM-81BAK, KM-161BAK Hoshizaki KM statement 2A4016-011, linked from the warranty index 3 years parts and labor 5 years parts and labor. The PDF describes this as the two years after the three-year period, including labor 5 years parts on the compressor and the air-cooled condenser. Labor on those parts is excluded in the two years after the three-year period
IM-50BAA-Q IM statement 2A9166-010 3 years parts and labor Evaporator repair, including labor, is limited to those same three years. The index does not print a 5-year evaporator line 5 years parts on the compressor and the air-cooled condenser. Labor excluded in the two years after the three-year period
AM-50BAK, C-80BAK AM and C statement 2A8782-010 2 years parts and labor. Optional drain pump HS-5061: a separate 1 year parts and labor No fifth year on the evaporator in this PDF or on the index No fifth year. The PDF says the two-year compressor parts warranty does not apply if the refrigeration system is modified with a condenser, heat-reclaim device, or parts Hoshizaki has not accepted in writing
F-330BAK Flaker and DCM statement 2A4018-012 3 years parts and labor No evaporator extension in this PDF. The index row for DCM, F, and -C does not print one 5 years parts on the compressor and the air-cooled condenser. Labor excluded in the two years after the three-year period
IYT0450A, UYF-0140A, UYF-0190A Manitowoc warranty summary, cube row (Indigo NXT, Indigo, NEO undercounter, S, IB, and Q), pointing at the ice machine bond, Rev. 08/22. The 2026 Americas price list, effective 1 Sep 2026, names Indigo NXT, S, U, QQ, and IB for the same year pattern 3 years (the bond says thirty-six months) parts and labor 5 years parts and labor. The bond says an additional twenty-four months, including labor 5 years parts and 3 years labor. The bond says an additional twenty-four months, excluding all labor charges
RNP0320A See the next section. The price list and the warranty-page bonds do not use the same model letters Uncertain for this serial No evaporator extension is printed on the nugget bonds we opened Uncertain which labor year applies. Do not copy the cube row onto this head
C0330MA-1 17-3088-01 Rev. G. The model list includes C0330 3 years parts and labor Evaporator plate 5 years parts and labor Motor compressor and condenser 5 years parts. The extra line does not say labor
CU50 17-3330-01 Rev. D 1 year parts and labor No evaporator extension in this PDF Motor compressor 5 years parts. No condenser extension in this PDF
CU0415 17-3486-01 Rev. C. The model list also names CU0715, CU0920, and several UF and UN models 3 years parts and labor No evaporator extension in this PDF No compressor extension in this PDF
HID525 17-2791-01 Rev. K, which names HID525. The 06/25 HID525 spec reprint already cited on the directory page prints a different condenser line 3 years parts and 3 years labor No evaporator extension in Rev. K Rev. K: motor-compressor parts for 5 years. Labor on a defective component stays at 3 years. The 06/25 spec also prints 5 years parts on the condenser. Rev. K does not. See below
CIM0430A Registration and warranty and F00291 Rev. 3/26, CIM row 3 years parts and labor 5 years parts. With the water-filter program, USA and Canada only: 84 months (the bullet also says 7 years) parts and labor on the evaporator plate 5 years parts. The 5-year compressor line does not say labor
ICEU150HA Same page, ICE row. The page says the ICE row applies to modular ICE and ICEU. The PDF heading says ICE Series Cuber and does not print the letters ICEU Same CIM pattern: 3 years parts and labor, 5 years parts on evaporators and compressors, and the same USA/Canada filter-program evaporator extension Same Same. Uncertain only if a reader treats the PDF heading as excluding ICEU. The company’s registration page includes ICEU in that bullet
GEM0450A GEM row on the same page and the same PDF 3 years parts and labor The GEM bullet does not include the 84-month evaporator program 5 years parts on the compressor. Includes RGA remote condensers on that bullet

Manitowoc’s summary also prints series this directory does not stock. UE, and UCP/USP, are 3 years parts and labor on all components, with no extra evaporator line on that page. CNP201/202 countertop nugget dispensers are 2 years parts and labor, with compressor parts for 5 years and labor for 2 years. Those rows are why a “Manitowoc warranty” is not one number. The cube bond is the row for the Indigo and NEO cabinets above. It is not the nugget row.

Hoshizaki’s index also prints a separate warranty for ice storage bins (3 years parts and labor under 1,000 lb storage, 5 years parts and labor over 1,000 lb) and 1 year on a water-filter system plus 1 year on replaceable elements. Those are not the cuber years.

RNP0320A, and two Manitowoc PDFs that do not say the same thing

RNP0320A is a nugget head. Three public Manitowoc texts, all still online on 2026-10-21, do not hand it one bond:

  • The 2026 Americas price list groups UFP/RFP and UNP/RNP as 3-year parts, 3-year labor, and compressor parts for five (5) years and labor for three (3) years. The list says full terms are at manitowocice.com/Service/Warranty.
  • The warranty summary’s flaker/nugget row for RF, RFS, RNS, RNF, UNF, UFF, UNP, and UFP prints those same years and links asset ajjugw. That PDF names those prefixes. It does not print the letters RNP or RFP. Its bullet says compressor parts for five years and labor for three years. A later sentence limits labor charges to standard straight time “(excluding the compressor warranty).” We did not resolve that parenthetical against the bullet. Uncertain whether compressor labor on that PDF is the three years in the bullet.
  • The summary’s separate RN row is 3 years parts, 2 years labor, and compressor parts for 5 years and labor for 2 years. The linked bond, asset xqcpmo, Rev. 08/22, is titled for RN nugget machines. It does not print RNP. Its opening sentence says the company warrants the machine for twenty-four months. Its “Limited Warranty” bullets then say parts for three years and labor for two years. The summary page matches the bullets. The opening sentence does not. We are not picking one.

Uncertain which of those documents a given RNP0320A serial is on. Ask Manitowoc, with the serial, which bond applies. Do not paste the Indigo evaporator line onto this head.

HID525 condenser line

17-2791-01 Rev. K covers HID525, HID312, HID540, and the F and N models named on it. Compressor coverage in that statement is parts for 5 years on the motor compressor. It does not print a condenser parts line.

The HID525 spec reprint dated 06/25 in the filename prints “5 years parts on the compressor and condenser,” plus “warranty valid in North, South & Central America” and residential 1 year parts and labor. Rev. K’s territory sentence is the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, Mexico, Central America, and South America, and it excludes Africa, Asia, Australia, and Europe.

Uncertain which condenser sentence a claim will use. The statement is the warranty document that names the model. The spec sheet is the sheet the directory already cites for pounds. Both were still public on 2026-10-21. Confirm with Scotsman for the serial.

Registration, and when the clock starts

Register the serial. A missed registration does not add years. On these statements it can start the clock at shipment, or at a distributor sold date, instead of at installation.

Brand What the document says to do If that does not happen
Hoshizaki KM, IM, AM/C, and flaker/DCM PDFs above Register within 30 days of the original installation date. The warranty index is the registration entry. The form asks for the install date If registration is not completed, the warranty begins from the factory ship date or the distributor sold date, whichever is available. If the unit is installed more than 180 days from the current registration start date, the owner provides proof of installation. The start date shall not exceed 24 months from the factory ship date. The KM, IM, AM/C, and flaker PDFs each say the warranty is extended only to the original owner/user and is not assignable
Manitowoc cube bond, Rev. 08/22, and the UNP-family PDF (ajjugw) Warranty registration card, or register online, within five (5) days of the installation date. The summary page links warranty registration The cube bond does not print a separate “unregistered equals shipment” sentence. It does say the warranty shall not apply to a machine initially installed more than five years from the serial-number production date. The same five-year-from-production sentence is on the RN bond and on ajjugw
Manitowoc RN bond, Rev. 08/22 The card must be completed and sent to the company within five days of installation. This PDF does not print “or register online” Same five-year-from-production exclusion
Scotsman C0330 statement and HID525 Rev. K Begins on the original installation date if installation is reported on the warranty registration form furnished with the product, or registered online at Scotsman’s website If no installation date is reported, the length is 39 months from shipment. Irrespective of the install date, coverage expires 72 months from shipment. A machine whose initial installation is more than five years from its production date is excluded
Scotsman CU50 Begins on the original installation date if reported on the warranty registration form furnished with the product. This sentence does not add “or online” If no installation date is reported, the length is 15 months from shipment. The same 72-month shipment cap, and the same five-year-from-production exclusion
Scotsman CU0415 family, Rev. C Begins on the original installation date if reported on the warranty registration form on the Scotsman website If no installation date is reported, the length is 39 months from shipment. Irrespective of the install date, coverage expires 48 months from shipment. The same five-year-from-production exclusion is also printed. Three clocks, not one
Ice-O-Matic F00291 Rev. 3/26 The registration page says warranties begin on the original installation date when the equipment is properly registered. Register from that page If the electronic registration or the warranty card is not returned, the period begins on the date of shipment. Regardless of the install date, the product is warranted for a maximum of 72 months from shipment. The PDF’s parenthetical says that 72 months is 3 years parts and labor and 5 years on evaporators and compressors, and that there is a 1 year period to register from the ship date

A cabinet that sat in a warehouse can be outside these caps before anyone plugs it in. That is the practical question for “new old stock,” not a reason to skip registration on a machine that just landed.

What the statements exclude

The four brands do not share one void list. A sentence that is on a Hoshizaki PDF is not a Manitowoc sentence. Cleaning intervals and clearance inches stay on the pages linked above. This section is only the warranty hook.

No water filter

We did not find a sentence, on the Hoshizaki, Manitowoc, or Scotsman warranty statements opened on 2026-10-21, that says a missing water filter by itself voids the machine warranty.

What those brands do print about filters and water:

  • Ice-O-Matic is the brand that attaches dated evaporator coverage to a filter program. CIM and ICE machines registered in the Water Filter Extended Warranty Program get 84 months of parts and labor on the evaporator plate from the original installation, USA and Canada only. The filter has to be installed with the machine and registered. Cartridges have to be changed every six months and that change reported. The PDF bullet also says 7 years. Miss the install, the registration, or the reported changes, and that extension is not the coverage you enrolled. The base 3-year parts-and-labor line does not say a missing filter voids it. GEM does not include this program. The filters page is the cartridge page. A filter change is not a clean cycle.
  • Ice-O-Matic F00291 also says the warranty shall not apply where harm was caused by RO water that does not have a neutral pH. The warranty PDF does not print the number 7.0. The Elevation Series CIM manual’s “verify pH at a neutral 7.0” line is already on cloudy or bad-tasting ice. Do not paste 7.0 into the warranty PDF.
  • Hoshizaki’s warranty index: water filter systems, 1 year on the entire system and 1 year on replaceable elements. The linked PDF, everpure.pdf, returned no extractable text on 2026-10-21. Uncertain what that PDF adds. The index line is the sentence we can cite.
  • Hoshizaki General Terms and Conditions of Sale, file name dated 20260731, section 10(b), says the product warranty does not apply to products that have been used with any third-party product or hardware that Hoshizaki has not previously approved in writing. That sentence is in the terms of sale. It is not in the KM, IM, AM/C, or flaker warranty PDFs. Uncertain whether a cafe that bought from a dealer is the “Buyer” in those terms, and uncertain whether a named cartridge counts as approved. We are not deciding either question. Ask Hoshizaki before you treat a non-Hoshizaki filter as a void or as fine.
  • Manitowoc’s summary: Arctic Pure water filter, 3 years parts and labor on the cap, housing, hardware, and mounting assembly. The cartridge is not included. That is a warranty on the filter hardware. It is not a rule that the ice machine is uncovered without a cartridge.
  • Hoshizaki service bulletin SB20-0011, already quoted on the cloudy-ice page, says water that meets that bulletin’s conductivity and pH table “will not compromise the warranty” of the evaporators it names. That is a floor for treated water. It is not a filter SKU.

Skipped cleaning, and the wrong chemical

The warranty does not pay for the cleaning visit.

  • Hoshizaki KM, IM, AM/C, and flaker/DCM PDFs: no parts or labor coverage for failure to clean and/or maintain the product as the owner manual sets out, or for adverse operating conditions set out in that manual.
  • Scotsman statements above, including C0330, CU50, CU0415, and HID525 Rev. K: no parts or labor coverage for failure to clean and maintain as the manual sets out, or for operating beyond the specifications in the manual. The user is responsible for installing, cleaning, and maintaining the product as the manual describes.
  • Manitowoc cube bond and RN bond: the warranty shall not apply to a machine installed and/or maintained inconsistent with Manitowoc’s technical instructions, or to a part subjected to misuse, abuse, neglect, or accidents. Cleaning, adjustments, and ice purchases are the owner’s expense. The UNP-family PDF (ajjugw) excludes repair required because of lack of specified maintenance, and it lists normal maintenance items as excluded.
  • Ice-O-Matic F00291: the grant is normal and proper use and maintenance as the company specifies. The limited warranty does not cover normal maintenance, adjustments, or cleaning/sanitizing. It also does not cover harm from improper use of cleaners or sanitizers. It does not print Hoshizaki’s separate “failure to clean” bullet. We are not upgrading it into one.
  • Manitowoc 2026 price list, on UCP0050A: use only Metal Safe Cleaner 000000084. Other cleaners “will damage the evaporator and will not be covered under warranty.” That note is on that model in the price list. It is not a sentence we found on IYT0450A or the NEO UYF sheets. Do not paste cleaner 000000084 onto a different head. Nickel-safe cleaner, as a category, is the filters and descalers page. Ounces stay in the model manual. Intervals stay on the cleaning guide.

Clearances and a bad install

None of the warranty PDFs we opened print “leave 6 inches or the warranty is void.” The inches are the installation guide. The warranty hook is “not installed the way the manual says.”

  • Hoshizaki: the warranty does not apply to a product installed or maintained inconsistent with Hoshizaki’s technical publications. The exclusion list also names external electrical failure or miswiring, external water-supply failure or plumbing problems, and external drain-line malfunction. Adverse operating conditions are the ones in the owner manual.
  • Scotsman: no coverage for installations that are not in accordance with the manual, or for operating beyond the manual’s specifications, or for electrical-power or water-supply failure. A part that has not been installed or serviced in accordance with the manual is not covered.
  • Manitowoc cube bond: no coverage if the machine was installed or maintained inconsistent with the technical instructions. The bond also drops coverage if the refrigeration system is modified with a condenser, heat-reclaim device, or parts Manitowoc did not make, unless Manitowoc approved that modification in writing.
  • Manitowoc service bulletin MII_SB_0049, dated 01/21, subject “Refrigeration System Guidelines,” all models: the 60-month compressor warranty (including the 36-month labor replacement warranty) will not apply if the ice machine, condenser, or QuietQube condensing unit was not installed according to specifications. It also will not apply if the system is modified with a non-Manitowoc condenser, heat-reclaim device, or other parts, or if leak-detection dyes, inhibitors, or non-OEM-approved chemicals are added. The bulletin recommends a factory-authorized service company or a distributor-authorized service dealer. The “36-month labor” phrase matches the cube summary and the UNP-family summary. It does not match the RN summary’s 2-year compressor labor. Uncertain for an RN serial. The bulletin is from 2021 and was still hosted on manitowocice.com on 2026-10-21.
  • Ice-O-Matic: installation and service covered under the warranty must follow the company’s specifications. The warranty does not apply to damage from improper drainage, or from an interruption in the electrical or water supply, or from adverse environmental or water conditions. The company reserves the right to decline claims for machines or bins no longer installed in their original location.
  • A remote line set outside the manual’s limits is a compressor-warranty topic on the remote condenser page. This page does not reprint those lengths. Ice-O-Matic’s CIM and ICE bullets say RCA remote condensers are included in that series warranty. GEM and MFI say RGA.

Someone who is not an authorized servicer

Warranty labor on these statements is not “any refrigeration tech.”

Brand Who may do the warranty labor Parts
Hoshizaki A refrigeration service company qualified and accepted by Hoshizaki and/or the local distributor. Claims for labor or parts go through the local distributor Approved Hoshizaki parts
Manitowoc Cube bond and RN bond: a company contracted service representative, or a refrigeration service agency qualified and authorized by the local distributor. The warranty page says only FAS and DASD are authorized to conduct warranty service work for Manitowoc Ice and Koolaire. The UNP-family PDF excludes improper or unauthorized repair The claim-form instructions on the warranty page: all parts must be purchased and processed through the local distributor. After the machine warranty, a replacement part the owner buys is warranted 90 days from its installation, and a replacement compressor or evaporator 1 year, if the part was sourced through the local distributor
Scotsman A Scotsman distributor, or an authorized service agent approved by the factory service department or the local distributor. Claims go through the local distributor Approved replacement parts
Ice-O-Matic A company-authorized service representative, or a refrigeration service agency qualified by the company. The warranty does not apply to destruction or damage caused by unauthorized service or by replacements other than Ice-O-Matic authorized replacements Replacement parts not authorized by the company are an exclusion (item IV in F00291). The accessories and replacement-parts lines on that PDF are 90 days. Water-filter cartridges are excluded from the accessories line

Hoshizaki’s terms of sale, section 10(b), also say the product warranty does not apply to a product reconstructed, repaired, or altered other than by Hoshizaki or its authorized representative. Same caveat as the third-party sentence: that is the sale terms, and we are not deciding that every operator is the Buyer in that contract.

Authorized dealer, a website, used, and refurbished

We did not find a sentence on these four warranty pages that says “purchased on a website” or “purchased on Amazon” as its own exclusion. Buying from a dealer does not, on these pages, add a year the statement does not already print. What the channel changes is whether you are the original owner of a new machine, and whether anyone will register it and service it on these terms.

How it was bought What the statements we opened actually say
New, from a seller who will register it This is the path the registration tables describe. The dealer is not the warranty. The factory statement is. Ask the seller to register the serial at install, and keep the install date. Hoshizaki claims still go through the local distributor. Manitowoc labor still has to be an authorized agency. Scotsman claims still go through the Scotsman distributor. Ice-O-Matic’s filter-program evaporator years still require the six-month reports
New, from an online listing No “online sale voids coverage” sentence on the PDFs above. You still need the data plate, a registration that the statement accepts, and an authorized servicer. A listing that says “1-year seller warranty” is that seller’s promise. It is not 2A4016-011, not the Manitowoc cube bond, not 17-3088-01, and not F00291. A machine whose production or ship date is already outside the caps above can be a new carton with little or no factory coverage left
Used Hoshizaki KM, IM, AM/C, and flaker/DCM PDFs: the warranty “is extended only to the original owner/user and is not assignable.” Scotsman statements above: warranted to the original purchaser-user. They do not print a separate “second owner” paragraph. Uncertain whether Scotsman will treat a later owner as that purchaser-user. Manitowoc cube, RN, and UNP-family bonds we opened warrant new machines. They do not print “this warranty is transferable” or “this warranty is not transferable.” Uncertain for a second owner. Ice-O-Matic F00291 does not print an “original purchaser” or a transfer sentence in the text we extracted. It does reserve the right to decline a claim if the machine is no longer in its original location. Uncertain for a resale that also moved the cabinet
Refurbished We did not find a factory refurbished warranty, for any of the four brands, on the pages opened 2026-10-21. Uncertain whether a given authorized dealer sells a factory-refurbished unit under a different statement. Ask for the statement that names the serial. A refurbisher’s own warranty is not the factory table above. The repair vs replace checklist is the plate, the voltage, and the evaporator. It is not a used-price table

Residential installs are a different statement, including when the cabinet is a commercial model. Scotsman’s C0330, CU50, CU0415, and HID525 documents we opened each say a residential application is 1 year parts and labor from the original installation. Ice-O-Matic’s PDF says units installed in a residential setting within 24 months of factory shipment are covered by 1 year parts and labor, United States only, and that the warranty can be voided if a certified refrigeration technician did not install it. Plumbers, electricians, and contractors without a refrigeration handling certificate do not qualify, on that PDF. The registration page, the same day, prints the residential window as 12 months from factory shipment and still points at F00291 Rev. 3/26 as the official statement. Uncertain which residential month applies. We are not choosing. Residential installs outside the United States are not covered, on both the page and the PDF. A foodservice install is the commercial table. A machine in a house is this paragraph.

Coverage areas differ, and a machine installed outside the area the statement names is an exclusion on the Hoshizaki PDFs. KM, IM, and the flaker/DCM PDFs say United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, and U.S. territories, and say to contact the factory for other countries. The AM/C PDF instead names the United States, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Scotsman’s commercial statements above name the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, Mexico, Central America, and South America, and exclude Africa, Asia, Australia, and Europe. Ice-O-Matic’s PDF is titled domestic and international. The commercial country list is not printed beyond that title, the USA-and-Canada filter program, and the residential-outside-the-U.S. exclusion. Uncertain for an Ice-O-Matic commercial install outside the United States and Canada. Ask Ice-O-Matic.

Scotsman’s CU50 statement, and the CU0515 statement inside the family index, except a separate “Limited Lifetime Rust Free Parts Warranty” and do not define it. We do not describe a program those PDFs do not define.

Filing a claim

This is the paperwork the statements name. It is not a script that guarantees payment. The owner’s job is the serial, the registration, and an authorized servicer. The servicer files the labor claim. Manitowoc’s warranty page says the claims system is for service work already performed by an authorized servicer. It is not how an owner requests a repair. Hoshizaki’s external claim PDF is a login procedure for people with a membership. The KM statement still says claims go through the local distributor.

  1. Copy the model and the serial off the data plate. Match the series in the table. A KM year is not an AM year. A C0330 year is not a CU50 year.
  2. Register inside the window that statement prints, if the machine is new and the window is still open. Keep the install date. Hoshizaki: if installation was more than 180 days after the registration start date, keep proof of installation. Ice-O-Matic’s filter program, if you want the evaporator extension: register the filter at install, then report each six-month cartridge change.
  3. Call a service company that brand accepts for warranty labor. Manitowoc’s page points owners at the local authorized servicer or distributor, and its service page is the locator. Hoshizaki’s support number on the warranty page is (800) 233-1940. Ice-O-Matic’s registration page says the service team can help with registration at warranty@iceomatic.com, Monday–Friday, 7am–5pm MT. Scotsman’s statements say the local distributor. A general handyman can still diagnose the machine. That visit is not, on these PDFs, warranty labor.
  4. Tell them the model, the serial, the original install date, and what failed. Ice-O-Matic: every evaporator repair needs pre-approval, with clear pictures of the front and back of the evaporator plate without water. Every compressor repair needs a picture of the defective compressor’s serial number before the claim is processed. Manitowoc’s 01/21 bulletin is the compressor question about install and non-OEM refrigerant additives.
  5. The servicer’s claim has its own clock. Hoshizaki and the Scotsman statements above: the defective part and the service invoice have to reach the distributor within 15 days of service to be eligible for labor reimbursement. Ice-O-Matic: the claim has to be received at the factory within 60 days of service, or it is void. Those clocks start at the service date. They are not paused because the owner has not called yet.
  6. Read the invoice for what these statements leave out. Straight time at the machine is the labor they describe. Travel, mileage, and overtime premium are excluded on the Hoshizaki, Manitowoc, and Scotsman texts above. Ice-O-Matic overtime and weekend time is the purchaser’s unless Ice-O-Matic issued a pre-authorization number. Cleaning and purchased ice are the owner’s on the Manitowoc bonds and are excluded on the Ice-O-Matic PDF. A trip charge on the invoice is not, by itself, a denied parts claim.
  7. If the machine was used, refurbished, or shipped from a marketplace, ask the seller for the factory registration and whether you are the original owner. Bring the serial to the manufacturer. This page cannot answer that serial.

Hoshizaki’s KM PDF also says the defective part goes back with the invoice, incidents that did not need a part have to be explained on the invoice, and every claim includes model, serial, original installation date, and customer identification. Scotsman’s procedure paragraph says the same set of facts. Manitowoc’s claim FAQ says a serial number is required, one serial per claim.

What this page is not

  • Not legal advice and not a warranty certificate. The PDF that matches the serial wins. The manufacturer decides defects, on the terms those PDFs print. State law can add rights these pages do not discuss. We do not interpret that law.
  • Not a service-life estimate. Years of defect coverage and years until the cabinet is retired are different clocks. That page is how long a commercial ice machine lasts.
  • Not the cleaning interval, the filter SKU, or the clearance table. Those links are above so this page does not restate them.
  • Not a review and not a price. No scores, no seller testimonials, no street prices.
